Hellllloooooo February! I didn’t expect you to come so soon. Please don’t leave too quickly.

Anyway… yesterday I went to setup a YarnbombingSG installation at Fusionopolis One (nearest mrt: One-north). The installation is at the taxi stand.

It’s a Lunar New Year theme and so I made some oranges. A pair of happy ones:

We had a couple of meet ups in January to work on them. They were all placed on red base so that we could easily fix them on the bollards.

What do you think? Absolutely kawaii, right? 😉

The plan was to make 8 toppers buuuuut we ended up with 11 (it’s supposed to be 12 but one of the makers was feeling under the weather so she couldn’t contribute her lovely goldfishes).

We had pineapples lovingly made by Christine and Swaroopa.

There were vegetables made by Lu Ee and Jasmine. Jasmine came up with the pattern and graciously shared it with us.

We also had an amazing lion head.

Here are some ingots made by Mona (facial features are sewn by Jasmine and I helped sew the facial features on the smallest ingot) and Pearl.

Here’s another one where I sewed the facial features as well

And last but not least… the most popular among the lot… the one that took the longest time to finish… our very own small time mafia Cai Shen Ye done on the fly by Geena (and parts + shades sewn by me).

There you go! The whole gang for our Lunar New Year yarnbomb! If you take photos and post them on social media, do tag #yarnbombingsg. If you see any of them missing (which we pray does not and will not happen), do contact YarnbombingSG on Instagram.
