Chunky Yarn Flower Coaster Pattern

Hie everyone! It’s my birthday today. As a special treat for you, I present to you a pattern. It is a very simple one. It’ll take you less than an hour to finish two or three. It’s a great stashbuster too!

*Chunky yarn (1 to 2 colours; i used Value Ball Chunky Acrylic Plain from Spotlight)
*7mm crochet hook
*Darning needle (for weaving in the ends)
*Stitch marker (optional)

Note: The pattern is in US terms and worked in a spiral (i.e. do not join at the end of each round).

Make a slip knot and CH 2. You can also start off with a Magic Ring.
Rnd 1: 6 SC in 2nd CH from the hook. (6)
Rnd 2: INC in each st. If usin two colours, change to petal colour in last st. (12)
Rnd 3: [SC in next st, INC in next st] x6. (18)
Rnd 4: [SL ST in next st, DC INC in next two sts] x6. (30)
SL ST in beginning SL ST, fasten off and weave in ends.
And we are done! You now have a flower coaster that should look something like this:

Oh yes! For those of you unsure if the abbreviations used…
CH = chain
Rnd = round
SC = single crochet
st(s) = stitch(es)
INC = increase / 2 sts in the existing st
SL ST = slip stitch
DC = double crochet

I hope you enjoy the pattern! If you do make some, do tag me on instagram or #kawaiicutenessSG.
