Singapore’s 53rd National Day (featuring Grrrayz the Pocket Fox)

Today marks 53 years of Singapore’s independence. It is also the first National Day parade for our first lady president Madam Halimah Yacob.

I spent most of today crocheting in front of the telly. And I managed to finally make a pocket fox following the pattern by Spin a Yarn Crochet.

I’ve named him Grrrayz. He looks more husky than foxy though. I might just make another pocket fox real soon. Just because Grrrayz turned out real cute. Here’s a brighter pix of Grrrayz:

I also managed to whip up some Samsui women finger puppets.

I’m designing some SG based characters. Maybe a kacang puteh man or a rickshaw puller or coolie… you know, characters that shaped the early Singapore. Wish me all the best!
