Today marks 53 years of Singapore’s independence. It is also the first National Day parade for our first lady president Madam Halimah Yacob.

I spent most of today crocheting in front of the telly. And I managed to finally make a pocket fox following the pattern by Spin a Yarn Crochet.

I’ve named him Grrrayz. He looks more husky than foxy though. I might just make another pocket fox real soon. Just because Grrrayz turned out real cute. Here’s a brighter pix of Grrrayz:

I also managed to whip up some Samsui women finger puppets.

I’m designing some SG based characters. Maybe a kacang puteh man or a rickshaw puller or coolie… you know, characters that shaped the early Singapore. Wish me all the best!
